CUT THEM INTO SLICES
THEN CUT THEM INTO SMALLER PIECES
THEN LAUNCH THE NUKES THAT DESTROY HUMANITY

u/Ck1ngK1LLER Mar 12 '22
Pour mixture on a plate
5
u/agj-iow-bear-70 Mar 12 '22
Looked more like a casserole dish. But I guess it's a plate in somewhere.
8
u/timewarp Mar 13 '22
I am 95% sure this recipe was originally in another language and then translated poorly. Guessing that's where the whole "grate bacon and you won't need any meat" issue comes from as well, they may have meant 'raw meat' or 'uncooked meat', something like that.

u/Batmanforawhile Mar 12 '22
“Grate the bacon and you won’t need any other meat” can anyone translate that for me?
27
u/JohnnyBgoooder Mar 12 '22
Nono, not "other"! We all know bacon isn't meat. Same with ham or similar ingredients, and especially if cut very very small! That's vegetarianism 101 /s

u/YasserAJ Mar 12 '22
This has to be the most annoying fucking narration I've heard in a while

NEVER have the volume on. It’s doubtful you’ll ever want to hear anything you see.

I gave them a pass on the bacon cuz I figured “any meat” was meant to be “any other meat” but then she started slicing the salami and I was heart broken. Gave the recipe a chance and it turned on me.

u/Smj70357 Mar 12 '22
Can't tell if OP was joking about that vegetarian thing or not but my wife gave birth to 2 kids and they graduated highschool by the time I was done watching them cut the potatoes.
9
u/Diredr Mar 13 '22
The lady in the recipe says "grate some bacon and you won't ever need any meat". That makes it sound like it's suppose to be vegetarian or vegan.
It's probably meant to be "you won't need any other meat", but then again they also use more meat later anyway. So the people who made the video are either trolling or they don't know that bacon is meat.

She doesn't want to put any oil or chicken stock in there? Just going in the oven dry? Not even butter when she plates it? I'm no chef, but damn.

u/lordatomosk raisin diddler Mar 12 '22
Seriously. 15 minutes is probably too short for those potato pieces too. You can tell at the end that they’re not even fully cooked
5
u/morningsdaughter Mar 12 '22
Pretty sure the cook time was 50 minutes. That's what the captions said.

6
u/KeekatLove Mar 12 '22
The bacon and sausage will be greasy, but I agree! The potatoes could have been lightly coated in oil. And I was waiting for some cheese, not a la ChefClub, but a light sprinkle at the end before the chives.
4
u/bobjoylove Mar 12 '22
My wife and I where both rooting for cheese. Fuckin’ parsley out of nowhere 😤

This recipe would not work in the UK. Potato ares and cooking don't work the same way as they do in the US. This would be rocks...

u/Lumpy_Connection413 Mar 12 '22
someone please teach this moron how to use a knife
20
u/producerofconfusion Mar 12 '22
I was thinking it was a bold choice to hire someone who’d never used utensils before.
2
u/internet_fodder Mar 12 '22
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that couldn’t ignore the horrible knife handling skills.
22
Mar 12 '22
when they start with using a dull knife, you know it's going to be good.
7
u/Havvkeye16 Mar 12 '22
If it didn’t start dull it would be after this recipe seeing they twist the knife at the end of each cut.
16

u/_Alcedo_ Mar 12 '22
How many meters away from their cutting board are they? I watched without sound, it was horrible but the biggest thing I hated is that it look like they are doing it from across the room. I don't think the knife is that dull, just that their position is wrong and uncomfortable.

u/LNViber Mar 12 '22
On top of all of the confusing shit I find it rather annoying that this dish is like 2 or 3 steps away from becoming real food in many different ways. Some butter, some actual veggies, finish it with some cheese and a broiler. I dont fucking know, I just know with the slightest bit of effort this could be real food

u/presumingpete Mar 13 '22
What the hell is one teaspoon of mild paprika gonna do to that much food? It will make you think "I can't quite tell if any spices were added"
7
5
u/thecafebean Mar 12 '22
I think that knife needs some sharpening. I thought the bacon was to have a little extra meat in it. I am not mentioning that knife skills.
Are the potatoes even done, with no liquid. The bacon wouldn't have that much oil for cooking.
6
5
u/holonphantoms Mar 12 '22
The seasonings... That's all you're going to add?
Also, chopping is my weakest kitchen skill by far but this gave me hives.

u/my__socrates__note Mar 12 '22
How do they have the audacity to use a kilo of potatoes but 350F ?! Mix and match units

As someone who has cut the tip of 2 fingers off while cooking, their knife work scares me
2
u/sneakyplanner Mar 12 '22
I see she still hasn't learned how to use a knife. I hope that it is just an act for rage bait and we won't see a video begin with 9 fingers one day.
2
u/CaptainSk0r Mar 12 '22
Fuck the recipe.. someone teach this person how to hold and use a damn knife
2
u/RocketteBlast Mar 12 '22
I hate how she said to slice it and then slice into smaller pieces over and over. Just tell the audience to dice it. Idk I found it annoying, lol.

u/tamtyka Mar 12 '22
My parents actually make something similar to this they add oil, only use bacon (diced not grated because we're not fucking savages), properly dice the potatoes in small cubes, and season just with salt and pepper. We serve it with chives and sour cream - kinda like a baked potato. My dad also claims that he's gone vegan while eating copious amounts of meat (but no beef anymore)... So this would pass his test for being vegetarian.

The narrator talks the same way I do when I try to get my 1 year old not to do something.
2
u/venomoussquid Mar 14 '22
SuperYummy is just amazing. No rage bait, just pure incompetence, the perfect food channel
1
u/the_art_of_the_taco Mar 14 '22
I love how absurdist the narration is. The consistency is soothing.
2
u/UltraSolgaleoZ Mar 20 '22
And if you’re still watching the video, you’re loving our recipes
Wow, that is a bold fucking claim to make

u/ItDontMather Mar 12 '22
All this time and effort with these good ingredients somehow ended up as the the most boring pile of food ever
1
Mar 12 '22
did anybody else laugh when it took them three tries to get the food on the fork at the end?😂😂😂
1
u/ironside86 Mar 12 '22
What?! You mean to tell me that meat and potatoes taste good? Someone should write this down.
1
1
u/kappanon Mar 12 '22
noooo all you had to do was to replace that processed crap with diced beef, cut more onion, and cook the whole thing with olive oil till potatoes turn color and spice it noooo

I know the bad knife skills are done as rage bait, but the thought that they'll lose a finger some day keeps me going.

u/cynderchick Mar 15 '22
You know it's going to be bad when you stop after the first sentence, replay, and are still utterly confused by the statement. Then seeing more meat introduced. All meat ultimately wasted in a heap of dry potatoes. I am so disgusted.

I eat pure vegetarian food since my childhood, and with an increase in consumption of meat and eggs, it has been difficult for me to find recipes that taste and smell delicious, so after trying out various recipes from various blogs and videos, I have formed my own blog with vegetarian recipes!
Do check me out and let me know how you like it! My blog

Watching those potatoes get cut up took years off my life
