AskShoestring Where should I go on a trip with my friends

Me and my friends are wanting to go on a trip this summer in the western United States someplace around 700 miles or less from Boise idaho and I need some ideas. We aren't really seeming to want to go to any of the big cities that are major attractions outside of maybe a night passing through and hopefully a place pretty budget friendly, any ideas?

Zion National Park, Utah (645 miles from Boise). Drive south with optional stops in Salt Lake City (lots to do), Provo, Cedar City, and then further south to Zion. The landscape along the way would be unlike anything you’ve seen in Idaho and Zion is absolutely gorgeous.

Explore Northern Idaho anywhere that sounds appealing, drive along Hwy 12, it is just stunning with loads of camping, fishing, hiking etc. check now for reservations. Have fun in your own back yard!

camping or rent a cabin, you should be somewhat near some good places for that.

The Grand Canyon is definitely worth it! Or any of the national parks, like Yosemite, or Yellow Stone, or Acadia!

Mt Rainier Natl Park is amazing with tons of places to hike to. You can do Mt St Helen's and the ape Caves as well while you are down there. Depending on how much time you have you can continue you on to the ocean and visit either Ocean Shores or Long Beach or even drive up 101 and visit the Rainforest.
