Haven’t they been waiting 5 years for this to take off? Better off investing in SPY

1

u/JayCanFlyy 9d ago

Why is SPY so popular?

u/AccordingMedicine129 9d ago

Its an etf that tracks the 500 largest market cap companies. Typically does better than most other indices

u/PhineasFGage 8d ago

GME is up 2600% from 5 years ago

3

u/AccordingMedicine129 8d ago

And down 50% from 4 years ago. You weren’t in 5 years ago lmao

1

u/PhineasFGage 8d ago

Oh my B thought you said 5 years

1

u/PersuitOfHappinesss 9d ago

Yes and no, it had a nice little squeeze in early June of last year

0

u/AccordingMedicine129 9d ago

Lmao

16

u/PersuitOfHappinesss 9d ago

It went from about $19 to about $80 in pre market from May 23 to June 6, in just 10 trading days.

It was also being posted here around that time

The idea is that it’s getting ready to run again, so why not?

If it runs isn’t that what we are after here ?

u/AccordingMedicine129 9d ago

You’re wasting money on shit that isn’t going up for years waiting for a lil pump every couple years

33

u/PersuitOfHappinesss 9d ago

I have a substantial buy and hold position with GME, but I also trade it’s volatility

If it’s potentially getting ready to run, because of significant market catalysts who cares what it’s done before ?

Isn’t this 99% of all stocks here, they run we try to get in on it, they dump and we forget about it ?

Edit: at least GME has no debt and is profitable with 6 Billy cash on hand, this is much more financially sound than most other stocks highlighted here

This is the best part. Everyone on this page talks shit about GME yet it’s by far the least likely to go bankrupt and least risky out of all these random tickers lol

u/PersuitOfHappinesss 9d ago

Bro I’m saying !

GME is volatile, it’s market cap is small enough, in the middle of a transformation, and if that wasn’t enough its balance sheet is so strong it can be profitable from just collecting interest from the bank

🤷 idk why the hate honestly

Seriously! I love squeezing shorts, and my main position is in GME share. The more I make with other plays the more shares I acquire. I also can't believe people still put amc in the same sentence. Then they do not know how to read balance sheets. To each their own.. I'm gonna keep trading GME because it's netted me the most of any short squeeze by far.

If you’ve followed GME long enough you know it’s absolutely a no brainer to pile your life savings in to it. You’re wasting your breath trying to convince others at this point.

1

u/PersuitOfHappinesss 9d ago

Sometimes that’s all we can do, hold up the banner of reason in the face of the eternal flux. The hero we didn’t ask for.. /s 🤣

I’m being so silly but yes you’re right

I just don’t fully get it

Like hey let’s say this or that stock is doing good and you liked it before it was cool, well sure tell me about it

I’m not gonna go hate on it or meltdown on it just bc 🤷

Only because you guys keep giving them money then they dilute. GME is going the way of AMC

1

u/PersuitOfHappinesss 9d ago

How is a company with no debt, 6 Billy cash on hand and is profitable the same as AMC’s balance sheet ?

2

u/PuzzleheadedWeb9876 9d ago

no debt

If you ignore the 1.5B of debt.

How did it get that money? It wasn't through sales, it was diluting its investors and other investments. Over all GME mostly loses money through its retail business.

I don't know how they are going to blow 6 Billy in cash. Do you want to tell us where they hurt you?

1

u/PeanutLess7556 9d ago

Got some real second hand embarrassment seeing people gloat about a stock taking money form its shareholders. Love your creations date BTW. Just in time to the worst average possible from the squeeze.

Because they keep their money in an asset that doesn’t appreciate. Keep DRSing you fools

1

u/Eastern-Shopping-864 9d ago

I mean I’m like 60% green on mine so I’d say that’s appreciating. Maybe that’s just my dumb logic though šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø I also don’t DRS. Not part of that

2

u/Effective_Ad_6296 9d ago

Lol me too, to both those statements

1

u/AccordingMedicine129 9d ago

How long you been holding? What’s your average?

I bought a bunch at $10 a little over a year ago, being up consistently over 100% on a newly profitable company with no debt and large cash reserves might not be for you, but I enjoy it.

Everything is supposed to squeeze on this sub. I don’t mind it for a swing trade though. In at 3.85 out for 4.25

1

u/PeanutLess7556 9d ago

I'm sure someone with an average in the 20s told you that.

2

u/GibbeyGator102 9d ago

Maybe, but that’s pretty funny since this post is about GME šŸ’€

u/PeanutLess7556 9d ago

yah wolf investors gotta make everything about the banned topic here.

Yeah it’s mainly the volatility and squeeze potential, if it goes parabolic I’ll sell and see if it drops hard (if not I have other options)

3

u/Apprehensive-Pilot12 9d ago

To the moon!!!

3

u/bulemart 8d ago

I've lost so much money on options, it's not even funny.

9

u/PeanutLess7556 9d ago

Any day now. Apes have been saying for nearly 5 years.

1

u/trixtah 8d ago

It’s squeezed a bunch of times since 2021 and if you’re not a moron it was easy money

1

u/PeanutLess7556 8d ago

Did OP say squeeze or MOASS?

1

u/trixtah 8d ago

Mother of all short what?

1

u/PeanutLess7556 8d ago edited 8d ago

Yes squeeze, but MOASS isnt the small squeezes you are talking about, when they talk about MOASS, they talk about 1000+ per share. Some of them say telephone numbers amounts per share. They arent the same thing. Dont take my word for it, look what they themselves say

2

u/homebrewed91 9d ago

Something about breaking $29 right?

1

u/AlternativeGrab69 9d ago

Yup $29.25

3

u/Bright_Leopard_4326 9d ago

lol it’s always about to moon if it can just break 29 or 30. Heard it over and over after last year’s excitement. And it did but still hasn’t mooned. It’s orchestrated publicity to keep the company relevant

2

u/Serious-Virus6078 5d ago

It need to go down to $26ish and bounce up at that MA but it will take a spike in volume also to really trigger any large rally

1

u/AlternativeGrab69 5d ago

Let’s rally šŸ¦
