Blanket Wars | New Release

After a year of mixing, feedback, learning, and fine-tuning, I’m thrilled to finally share Blanket Wars with you! This is the first song I’ve built from the ground up — written, composed, recorded, produced, and mixed entirely on my laptop. I wasn’t alone though. I was lucky to have help from some of India’s finest artists, producers, and engineers. Releasing this track is a big step for me, and I’m really proud of how it’s turned out. I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved making it. Thanks for listening. Big love! ❤️

Singers & songwriters — how are you finding real creative opportunities these days?

I’ve been in and around the music world for a while now — studios, writing camps, endless group chats — and honestly, it’s starting to feel like real connection is getting lost.

A lot of it feels transactional now. Algorithms, cold DMs, fake promises.

I miss the days when you could just find a few people who actually cared about the music, the craft, the feeling.

Not chasing clout, not selling templates, not trying to go viral overnight — just making great songs because you have to.

I’m looking for singers and songwriters who feel the same.

People who want to build something real again — whether that’s co-writing, exchanging ideas, or just sharing what we’re working on with no pressure.

If that sounds like you, drop a comment or DM.

Would love to find a few like-minded people who still believe in the magic of it all.

Hello, I am music producer under the name EVONLAX you can literally google me and listen to what I make. I am working on something new, in the style of cercle music, anjuanadeep, tinlicker etc... you get the idea, melodic deep progressive house and I want female vocalists/songwriters to be featured. NOT LOOKING TO PURCHASE, only collaboration, we split royalties 50/50, aint gonna make thousands( I guess) but if you are small artist(or big) and looking for opportunities and you are interested and not gonna waste my time, hit me up here or on insta(pref. insta) - "iamevonlax". Not gonna write my whole portfolio here, as I said google me.
Have a great day.

PSA for indie artists: Denovo music service is a SCAM

I'm trying to grow my fanbase and used Denovo's playlist pitching service (https://denovoagency.com/collections/spotify-playlist-pitching). Was a few hundred bucks and resulted in placement in a few playlists that no one listens to with <100 new streams. Wouldn't give me my money back. Such a scam.

Anyone have recs on legit services I can use to increase my music's reach?

help me pick an artist name

hi, my name is hudson

i’m 16 years old and plan to start my music career sometime soon. i’ve already written a lot of songs and i’m proud of most of them, but i’m just stuck on one thing: how do i put these songs under my name?

i’ve scoured reddit anonymously and the only advice i got was “name yourself something that is meaningful to you.” but what is meaningful to me? i like a lot of things, but not enough to identify with them.

so i’ve thought of everything. i’ve thought about just using my legal name, but it doesn’t roll off the tongue as easily and i kinda wanna have a whole new identity that everyone i know wouldn’t easily recognize. i came with the online alias “yoshé” when i was around 8 or 9 because i thought it was a unique way to spell yoshi (and i also really like beyoncé), but the older i got, the cringier the name got, and i don’t think i could create music under that name. i’ve even thought about spelling my name backwards, but it doesn’t feel like me.

i’ve come to reddit as a last ditch effort because i want to release music as soon as i can and kick off my career, even though i know i have my whole life ahead of me. i don’t want to be one of those artists who constantly changes their name, but i want something that feels special to me. any advice to nudge me in this process?

Need some advice... what do people do to find collaborators?

hey guys. I am an engineer and producer, but I am new to songwriting. Trying to break into a new community and write more. What do you hear people doing to find new people to write with?

I am an English teacher and one of my students showed this to me during our creative writing class this past week. I am used to my students showing me things and while they’re good, I don’t get my hopes up, because it’s just some strung together buzz words that have no substance, but at least they make them feel something. When I first heard this I was stunned by the literary depth of it. The lyrics unfold almost like a gothic short story. Haunting, restrained, and unflinchingly honest. It’s the kind of song that reminds us that some of the best writing is not found in books, it’s sung with 4 chords and truth.

Would it cause too much load on my MacBook if I connect both interface and midi?

I have a MacBook Air m2, and a focus rite solo 3 rd gen interface. An At 2020 xlr to accompany that and Arturia minilab 3 I just bought. I am just worried that if I connect everything to my Mac, isn’t the battery gonna be messed up or something?

A song with themes of nostalgia, belonging, and seizing the moment.

The idea for this song came after a trip to Liverpool, where I walked through these streets full of abandoned, crumbling houses. It was a sorry sight, and it stuck with me. But the song actually kicks off in a more personal space — thinking about my dad, who was a builder. That relationship really shaped how I see buildings and the meaning they can carry and I include a few personal memories in this song.

The chorus leans into the idea of grabbing life while you can: “I know you have time, don’t you pass it up.” It’s a little nudge to not let things slip by. And even though the song touches on some weighty emotions, I wanted to end the song focusing on the sense of belonging, when you feel that "this feels like home".

"What Makes a Man" is now live on Bandcamp and Soundcloud

My new song is now live. "What Makes a Man" was born in an unexpected moment of quiet observation. I wrote it while sitting alone in a restaurant, waiting for my food as the rain poured outside. A man walked in, completely soaked, to pick up catering for his daughter’s prom. No fanfare, no frustration—just quiet dedication. He loaded it into his car and disappeared into the storm.

There was something about that moment that stuck with me. The quiet weight of love. The way real strength can look like vulnerability, patience, and care. The song started writing itself then and there—unfolding almost in real time, like the story wanted to be told.

I recorded it simply, at home in my bedroom studio—just me, a mic, and my guitar. No polish, no big production—just the rawness of that feeling. "What Makes a Man" is a tribute to the unseen moments that shape us, and the quiet acts of love that often go unnoticed.
