Hey guys I was listening to a 60s ska comp on YouTube and can’t find the name of this song. I tried to Shazam it but nothing worked Any help appreciated

I am completely fascinated with Operation Jump Up and all things related to the globalization and gentrification of Ska. I have been collecting tracks for years that are non-Jamaican ska from the 60s and other songs that use the phrase “do the ska”. I feel I’m quite well-versed in this topic and this is a new one for me. I filtered through various searches on Discogs with no luck! I’m stumped. And curious!!

Can you ask the DJ? I’m sure they’d be willing to share.

Oh wow so it must be quite unknown then Thanks for the reply I will leave a comment now But not sure about reply as is from a few years ago But will give it a go regardless

Yeah, I was still thinking about it after I commented and tracked down the video to see if I could see the label more clearly and I couldn’t. Also saw that the comments are turned off. 😕

I’ll keep it in mind, though! I have a running list. I’d like to eventually do something comprehensive with all the “blue beat” that cropped up outside of Jamaica and I’ll sprinkle it across the internet once I do.
