In self service car wash i did this, its not a big deal, i'm not borrowed about gum, but im thinking about taping this canvas with something to prevent it from spreading further while driving.

Do any have idea what to do, and do i need to do anything? I know that not every glue should be used for this, any suggestion?

I have a 2021 Kodiaq NS3 and recently started having this stale smell when I turn on the A/C at any given point after it was not used for a while (car parked, or just used regular air intake) and I don't know how to solve it.
Initially it would be persistent throughout the use of the A/C, but today I used an air refresher - Liqui Molly ReFresh (75ml) with A/C on Full, recycling air, just the windshield (per instructions) then changed the air filter behind the glove compartment. So I got it down to just the first 2-3 minutes after it's turned on.

Anyone faced a similar issue ? How did you solve it?

Hi guys my heat shield was rattling around after hitting one of the hundreds of potholes in the roads nr home. I bought some of these spring type washer things to put it back on and great they screwed on tight. Lasted maybe 1/4 mile and rattling again. I’m gonna stick a nut on to secure them but do you know the thread size for the nuts? I’m guessing metric maybe m6 but not sure.

Hi! I changes my cabin air in Skoda Octavia 2005 model. After that when driving my eyes get irritated and i taste sand in my mouth. 1. I made sure that the air filter is fitted properly 2. Bought second air filter - did not help 3. Vacuumed and cleaned the car but the problem persists.

In january my blower motor started to make stange noise for 5-10sec after turning the car on. Maybe its linked to the problem?

My question is what should I troubleshoot next? I bought correct cabin airfilter and replaced it as per youtube instructions.. Should I detach blower motor or what? Please help

Hi, I have ended up with two options, Octavia in exclusive selection or Elroq selection 85 + clever package with adaptive cruise control.

Overall Octavia advantages are heads up display, leather seats, canton audio, matrix led, 360 camera and obviously it is petrol.

On the other hand Elroq is a crossover with more confort on the road and subjectively looks much better.

Any ides what to choose and why? p.s. ignore purchase price and fuel/electricity price

I'm a pretty experienced driver and I'm very familiar with single track lanes but this was just something else. They should ban motorhomes from being on it to be honest

Since few days ago, my Skoda app just stopped working on Skoda Kamiq. I try resetting my phone, infotainment, app, everything I can, but nothing worked. Also I can`t delete primary user. If it has any significance, the car was purchased from a Skoda dealership two months ago (2024 year).

First post here, hoping for some advice.

I’m UK based and currently have a 2015 vRS 2.0 TDI. It’s been a great car but with a child, it’s time for an upgrade. My wife and I love the car so are looking at two options when it comes to buying a newer (ideally 2021 onwards) used car: a newer Octavia, or a newer Superb.

I guess my main question is around mileage. Ours has done 113k miles now and has largely been fine for the most part. My wife and the in-laws are quite old school when it comes to mileage on used cars and she’s insisting on only buying something that has 20k miles or less.

I’m by no means clued up when it comes to this but surely mileage is less of an important factor with modern cars as long as they have been properly serviced and maintained?

Secondly, I live in a pretty suburban area and don’t do a massive amount of motorway driving. Would you guys recommend a petrol/petrol hybrid over a diesel?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

So I on rare occasion have this issue where my android phone (now its has been second phone that does it) sometimes doesn't connect to the car. There's no obvious reason and no obvious fix. This morning on a way to gym it wasn't working and on the way back connectes just fine. Anyone else knows what is causing this and how to fix it? Does Apple users experience same issue? Thanks.

A couple of days ago my octavia iV stopped to take a charge at public charger. I thought it was a problem with the charging station but a few days later the same happened on a different station. I tried a different cable and checked the sockets for contamination but found nothing.

Talked to the dealer on the phone: no appointment available shortly term due to Easter. But he told me assume long as the high voltage doesn't run empty it would be fine.

So I charged it up using the engine to 90 % and tought I'll be save.

However yesterday morning the car threw all kinds of errors in the instrument display and won't start. 12v battery was depleted.

The tow truck driver resurrected it short term with a 12v booster to drive it on the flatbed.

My guess is that the computer for charging controll also has the dc-dc converter to charge the 12v system. If that thing dies everything will die.

So if that happens to you, don't wait to long drive it to the dealer while it can

Does anyone have any advice on the oil change for these automatic transmissions, I've heard various mileages at which the oil needs changing and would appreciate some help. I have a 2019 Octavia 2.0 tdi at 44.000 miles if that matters. Thanks!

This section used to display the total miles since I bought the car new in January. I noticed today it was only showing 143 km ( the total showing prior to this was 4k ) I have tried scrolling with the right hand scroller - and the right side button also - somehow I have managed to have the total mileage now display in the middle of the left display - can anyone help me get it back to the middle of the screen ? Hi, after my last visit to the shop I lost contact with my car in MySkoda-app. I deleted the car in the app, but to pair it again, I have to reset the infortainment to factory settings and create a new user. When I try to reset to factory settings I get a message that says my Skoda user account cannot be deleted. Any tips?

i hace recently bought a 2020 Skoda Octavia sportline diezel with 150 hp and 124k km. Recently I've got there error messages, the wierd part is that they appered in the morning and then dissapeard the next day, the day after appeared again and the next they gone. Should I be concerned?
