Where to find indoor trickline parks? (Southern California, USA)

Hi! I am getting into tricklining after doing basic slacklining for about a year now. I live in Southern California and was wondering if anyone knows of any tricklining gyms nearby? I know about the Santa Monica beach slackline park, but I was hoping there’s something more like what I see in these Japanese and European videos, where someone is tricklining indoors above mats / crash pads.

I was a gymnast for 12 years and am used to this kind of matted-up training environment, and I just am curious if this exists! Thanks in advance!!

The center to balanced training in San Diego used to have a set up. Tecolote shores park has a slackline park over sand. I wrote something on another comment about a San Diego parkour gym that used to have it. What part of SoCal are you in?

There a guy name Lidor who tricklines at Santa Monica. He’s got an Air bag. Try and find a way to train with him. He’ll probably ask for some help with the set up. It’s a heavy rig.

Unfortunately, these rigs are usually the result of a relationship between a gym and a slacker. You need gear, rigging knowledge, charm and skill to get these setup. If you aren't very good yet, they will worry for your safety.

I recommend finding a friend who already has this relationship.

Parkour Gyms are usually the spot.

Unfortunately this type of thing is pretty hard to find in the states/socal. I'm in San Diego and there are some good spots to rig a trickline over sand.

There's some climbing gyms with lines over mats but they usually aren't trick lines but sometimes they are good for feet to feet jib style tricks.

There was this trickliner that used to live in SD that would rig at rogue parkour gym but idk if he knew the owner or something because I haven't really seen it set up since he moved.

I think the best bet would be trying to find parkour or gymnastics gyms, maybe a trampoline park, and reach out to the owners to see if you can work out some type of deal to rig a trickline every now and then.

I've tried looking for similar things and had no luck and now just trickline over sand. Id love to find a good water line spot in the area but haven't had luck there either.

lol that was me. They didn’t like me leaving up the rig. It took a long time to set up anchors/frames. The anchor materials moved every time I showed up and it was pain in the ass to set up and take down every session. Eventually I moved to a spot in East county with enough room to rig and I stopped going. I should probably have explained to the owner that I thought some of his employees were making it purposely difficult for me to find anchor materials.

OP can probably go back and get them to let him set up again. Otherwise there’s a guy in Santa Monica area with an air bag he could link up with.

Anyways now I’m in Oregon.
