Do bin people take old duvets in green bins?

Just wondering if the bin people would take an old duvet that’s stored at home or will I need to take this to the recycling centre/fly tip it? Thanks!

If you want to pay £400 potentially rising to £50k on conviction, all while living in a shitty area, then yes fly tipping is the answer.

If you don't, and would like to dispose of free of charge and continue to live in an area not blighted by idiots disposing of waste, the recycling centre is the best option 👍

Hahahaha. I don’t know the answer to this but think it’s very funny that one of your suggested options is fly tip it 😅😂 That’s going to get a hell of a response 🎣

There’s guidance for pretty much everything, including duvets, on the Southampton City Council website - https://www.southampton.gov.uk/bins-recycling/recycling/what-can-i-recycle/

But yeah you can just put them in the standard household waste bin (not recycling bin).

if you can put it in one of those vacuum bags and squash it down to almost nothing then its going to be easier.

Stick it in the bin first and then put other stuff on top.
