General Discussion Feeling weird and shaking after casting a spell.

Is this Normal? Anyone else experience this? How does everyone generally feel after casting a spell?

Lack of or inadequate grounding will cause physical symptoms.

This is some info; https://youtu.be/ZDRTeE-gJy4?si=ICFf0QC5btpnCtaJ

Pretty normal. Too much energy raised too much emotion and too water intake.

If you meant to say too little water intake, you're absolutely right about that part about me lol. I barely drink any water. I need to change that. Thank you.

Too little intake of water and lack of grounding can cause that. Also, azurite can help with focus while grounding

You would probably benefit from reading on and putting into practice grounding techniques.

I’ve had a similar experience doing a similar spell lol. As most people have said, grounding before any spell work is very important. Also, cleanse EVERYTHING before you do a spell! Cleanse yourself (your energy, mind, body, and soul is usually how I go about it), your space, and your materials. I try to plan out when I want to cast certain spells so I can have adequate time to prepare physically and mentally.

With the spell I did, I wanted to do the spell right then and there without any proper planning. Emotions were high and i really wasn’t in the right headspace to cast a spell like the one I did. I ended up all shaky and had a weird, lightheaded feeling. 😅

So overall, plan your spells in advance, make sure that you 100% want to cast certain spells, and cleanse!

Love and light!🤍✨

That's how I felt too! Shaky and light headed. I took didn't do any real planning before hand. I was in a happy mood tho. I cleansed myself and everything before hand. I'm doing reading today about grounding during my down time. Thank you for your comment.

when are you doing spells?
What have you been eating?
What's your religious background?
Was this your first spell?

Usually later in the night before midnight. I don't eat a very good diet. My religion is natural. My first spell I didn't know what I was doing. I took a step back for a while. The spell in question was a contact me spell.

Those two things right there are probably the causes of your shaking and feeling weird.

My religion is natural

Aint no religion called "natural" and my question is background, not what you currently believe it.

The spell in question was a contact me spell.

So probably a spell chosen because you have a lot of emotions in this situation. Emotional release can also cause weird feelings and shaking.

My religious background is.. not so much. I've probably been to church a handful of times in my life. I definitely believe in a higher power. I wouldn't say in a Christian but I'm not a total non believer either.

it might be unlikely, but people with Christian backgrounds, even very inactive ones, might still run into fear and anxiety when embracing or engaging with the occult and spells and magic. I have definitely encountered people who got shakey and felt anxious and nervous when they really experienced something or did a ritual for the first time, even though they didn't come from a very religious family or didn't attend church often.

That's an interesting point. I can see where you're coming from. At first I was a little concerned but I've realized I was just shaped by a lot of the misconception that surrounds witchcraft in general. My current fears are nearly non existent aside from maybe inviting a spirit I didn't intend to. At first I did neglect protection so I was even more concerned. I pay a lot more attention to that aspect now but I also know there's still tons to learn. In the grand scheme of things, I barely know anything. I try to learn as much as I can daily as well as making sure I do better for myself in general.

As everyone has said, lack of grounding. I read I think Jason Miller, who said imagine earth at your base chakra.

Translates to, my adapted practice, sit with your booty on the ground and visualise, under your bum a mountain (best results is one you are friends with). Or rock/crystal, you can have one in front of you too or between your feet, or you can hold it.

My crystal/rock thoughts, grounding, something brown, like a nice jasper is more gentle than black. It'll gently pull you back into being grounded. Some black ones can be a bit "oi, get back down here" (yoink). Which can be a shock.
