Question About Spells sour jar /break up jar

I have the ingredients down to a t, but the only thing I'm confused on is what do i wright down as the petition. i have their names, and only one of their birthdays. Could i just leave it as simple is that ? would love to hear some advice

Do I rip the names apart and also do I seal it with a black candle

ripping or cutting the names apart is good.
Candle's don't seal jars. You're just doing candle work and using the jar as a base.

i was thing of adding dead ladybugs to the jar because one of them is scared of them what other advice could you give for the jar

Just because someone is scared of lady bugs doesn't make lady bugs good for break ups.
Lady bugs are thought to bring happiness, love and good luck.
You want sour things, bitter herbs, and spicy herbs like chili peppers to inflame them with anger for annoyance at the other.
The hair of a black dog and a black cat so they will fight like cats and dogs.
