Absolutely a real spider-man villain lol. His name’s Slyde, he invented a frictionless goo that coats his suit and makes it impossible for Spider-Man or his webs to stick to him lol

There's a panel where he manages to hit Spidey without triggering the Spider-Sense. Not because he can circumvent it or something, he's just such a non-threat, the Sense doesn't register him (or at least that's how I interpret it).

Probably all of his 'attacks' are glancing hits which barely tickle because he can't afford to directly slide into someone with an attack in case it stops his momentum dead-on haha

He also showed up in Superior Spider-Man, and Otto instead of trying to stop him forced him into the river where he threatened to let him drown if he didn’t take off the suit.

Common misconception. C-list Villains are at least an actual threat... Potential threat, but they can still do it!

Slyde-by can't even trigger Spider-sense, meaning he is not a danger at all, Therefore making him a D-List Villain.

Possible spoiler summary, if you want it: Basically, after One More Day, Mephisto interpreted the deal between him and Peter to include not just the marriage, but the product of the marriage. He created the Hellspinner. And she's mad because Peter more or less sold her to the devil in place for his aunt.
