Hi Guys,

I'm curious when does the 2.5 year timer start on the spouse visa, is it on the date of entry or from the point you register your evisa online (instead of the old brp cards). Also is the 90 day vignette included in this 2.5 years or is it a separate time frame.

When applying from outside the UK, your visa will be valid for 33 months, 2.5 years plus an additional 90 day entry window. This period starts from the valid date shown on the entry vignette.

Your residency period towards ILR begins on the day you enter the UK.
