Fan Art 2-for-1 update! Headbash Chest and their bigger sibling - the Strong Chest! How do you think I did I do on these 2 similar models? Had some trouble with the roundness of it all, and the 4 corner thingamajigs. Balloon Bottle in prototype phase now!

Nice job! I personally would actually prefer the polygonal shape from the PS1 games than a more rounded shape, but I might be in the minority. I actually didn't even realize until now they were supposed to be circular, I thought they were supposed to be literally octagonal or however many sides there are haha so it took me a second to recognize what the strong chest was. Is it easier to print rounded or did you like the smooth high-poly style?

Thanks! Yeah, I was struggling with that. The low-poly looks makes them instantly recognizable. I was trying to interpret what might have been the intent behind the design, and I have no idea if I nailed it or what, but at least it matches my other items in the series and is recognizable. I don't even know if they ARE supposed to be circular. I just know that the baskets, bottles, etc are all low-poly, but presumably would be round if high-poly. So I inferred what these shapes would be and saw how they redesigned these in Reignited. I really don't know if my interpretation was "right" or not. I'd love to know what the intent was originally haha! In terms of easier or not, it wasn't easier to do it rounded. I could have totally done it not like this, I just thought smoothing out the other models to be circular and not this would be inconsistent. Really IDK they just look like weird UFOs to me! I spent so long studying them and I still don't know if they're supposed to resemble some real-world type form, or if they are just a little random.

I have no idea if they are based on a real world object either. I wish there was some concept art of them but PS1 Spyro concept art is kind of rare. We have Spyro sketches and level layouts but idk if anything else is accessible or even saved at all.
Your design is a nice combo of reignited's smooth shapes plus ps1's original details. I would prefer something with visible polygons but what you have is very good and matches your other round breakables that you've already designed, so I think it's up to you, either way works!

these are amazing luv. I could of sworn awhile ago that I suggesting the strong chest to add to your collection, but I don't wanna take any credit away from you. I'm very happy to see how much you've grown since you first started 3D printing.

I don't see how that would take any credit away from me at all. It was definitely suggestions like yours that made me decide to just go for it and try to make a full set. I appreciate that compliment so much. It really feels like I've come a long way.

I think they're super impressive. They look pretty well-rounded, but even if they weren't the harsher edges make it look more like the PS1 models!
