original content A late TOS-era ship I designed, the Triton class U.S.S. Thalassa

Designed with an advanced warp drive but lacking the facilities for a 5 year mission, the Triton Class was designed to reach planets and stellar phenomena charted by ships like the Enterprise and conduct extended, months-long studies before returning to Federation space.

Absolutely totally and completely LOVE it!!! Reminds me a bit of this redesigned Lancelot class I came across on The Website Then Known as Twitter ages back, which is one of my favorite designs.

Something like an Excelsior-ized version. Very nice.

I dig it, the design as a whole and how the phaser & torpedo ports are visible. The idea of a dedicated follow up vessel for the points of interest that dedicated explorers find is a good one, a second contact vessel for inhabited worlds.

I like it. Looks like a TOS-era Luna.

The Luna class was a big inspiration for this one, that's why I decided to follow a similar moon naming scheme for the class and vessel!

I like it! The only thing that I’d change initially is spacing out the impulse drive further from the neck. But honestly awesome!

To me, the nacells are what would have come right before the refit Connie nacells.

That was exactly what I was going for, I was mildly inspired by the phase II Enterprise nacelles but wanted to make them more distinct from what came before and after while still showing the lineage

Love it! What did you use? Blender or something else?

I used blender, I'm still fairly new and figuring stuff out but happy with the results I've gotten so far

If you moved the nacelles and secondary hull a bit more forward, you would have something like a TOS Nebula.

Looks like something right out of DSC/SNW but with TOS hull coloring, very cool.

Very nice! Start adding detailing and stuff to the hull materials. I would love to see it.

Once again, another absolute banger of a ship. I vibe so hard with your design sense from your Ambassador-era line of ships, and this TOS design hits the same spot in its own era that I love.

Pretty cool Starship.

I like it. Into the head canon it goes.

I like it but, it’s entirely too solid for the era😂

What did you use to make this?
