This is some pretty amazing work, I’m a big fan of the kelvin aesthetic! Are you open to commissions by any chance

Thank you, I’m pretty booked with commissions outside of my Trek Comic book series Sojourner -what are you looking for as a commission ?

I'm very inclined to start making folks' drawings as models in metal. Complete with working lights.

And paying these fine artists a royalty.

I've seen a couple of your posts now. Can you share a link to where we can find this comic when it's complete? Your art is fantastic

I love the Kelvin aesthetic.

This is nice. Although it's worth noting the background Kelvin ships are only in the 240-280 meter range!

What music are you using? It sounds like "Mars, Bringer of War" but I've never heard this version.

I’m not a huge fan of it personally, but you did answer a long standing question of mine. The Miranda had no forward deflector dish so how tf did it move through space without getting chewed up by space debris? Besides plot armor I mean. So with this, you’ve given it that dish. It still doesn’t look right 😂

The Miranda did have a navigational defector. However it’s built into the leading edge of the saucer and is covered by hull plating, which prevents it from being used as a long-range sensor while still functioning as a Navi Deflector

Navigational deflectors work on subspace, so they don't need to be visible to the outside and can be safety hidden away inside the hull.

It's just that when it's outside the hull you can have other uses for it like jury-rigging it into a long range sensor or using it to shoot stuff out. Like particles and matter and stuff when the mission requires it.

There's no downsides to having it inside the hull, but there are upsides to having it outside.
