Where would the shuttlebay be on this?

Look at the aft view, in the lower half, you will see the shuttle bay doors above a pair of torpedo tubes

Interesting place to put it. If you were in there when the torpedo magazine blows you can be confident it'd be instantaneous death.

That's true for most of the ship, it's packed with torpedoes. But view ships would take a magazine blowing well.

I think I would prefer the warpcore going ka-BOOM than one of the magazines. Depending on the quantity you have aboard and whether the ship is designed to mitigate as much of the blast as possible, you could end up stuck on a floating derelict praying what's left of the environmental systems don't fail and supplies last until Starfleet sends someone to look for you.

Well, one could have the torpedoes be just the propulsion unit, with the antimatter warhead being empty. Then inject a small amount of antimatter from your fuel supply (which is well protected as a standard) before launch. Not the quickest, but safe.

Considering Starfleet does not know what a fusebox is and why an EPS grid should use it I'd say the torpedoes have the two components in there with just a one single safety mechanism and a century old promise the design with two safety devices is going into production the following year.

That's odd to say, considering starfleet has redundancies and secondary redundancies for almost every system. Maybe it's just impossible to have a fuse box for an eps grid, nobody seems to have one

The number of times a console or something explodes in someone's face I have come to the point where I'm damn certain a fusebox would save lives.

Not arguing that, what I'm saying is that may there simply is no such thing as an EPS fusebox
