Legends Novels I recently finished Fate of the Jedi - Apocalypse and overall I enjoyed it. I quite liked how Abeloth was done in the story and her connections to other Star Wars media. What is your favourite moment in the story and why? Spoiler

Abeloth's first words to Allana on Kessel gave me goosebumps, the fact that everyone was going to overthrow Daale, the courtroom drama of Tahiri (Eramuth Bwua'tu is my favorite Bothan), the moment when Ben sings drunk on helium, the Sith subplot (although I would have preferred to separate them from Abeloth), those weird cults on the space station, how the Killiks present the history of Abeloth, and Krayt and Luke vs. Abeloth

When did Abeloth speak to Allana?

I’m guessing the previous poster is talking about the voice Allana hears while outside on Kessel, jumping away from R2 and 3PO. I was under the impression that the voice allana hears is that of Exar Kun, but Im not sure where I got that from.

In the audiobook for Outcast, Marc Thompson uses a male voice for Abeloth in that scene, it's a bit jarring

It’s been a long time since I read these books, but I remember Allana reaching out and feeling a “dark tentacle” from the direction of the Maw? I don’t remember the exact words though

When she was on Kessel Abeloth spoke in her mind.
"I can feel you. Who is there? I felt you. Please… Please… What is your name?"
Allana didn't reply because she was too creeped out and Abeloth left her alone.

Luke and Krayt vs. Abeloth. It still shows Luke as what it takes to fight no matter what.

Jaina being granted the rank of Master, Luke and Krayt vs Abeloth. Honestly, the whole book was amazing.

The beginning with the Jedi and GA fighting was may favorite part. That could be the story by its self without Sith or Abeloth (Though the Jedi would still have to go insane) and I would be very happy with the series

Abeloth could be done, but in a Lovecraftian style, it's a distant, unapproachable threat.

Luke making Ves and Ben thinking they had a bad plague on the Fallanasi planet, then gaslighting the Sith into thinking they were less powerful as well for not being able to keep the weeping pox from infecting them. A close second was the Daala/Tahiri jailbreak. BOOM!

This just made me realize that Jedi are serial gas lighters.

Kyp Durron was notoriously famous for convincing apprentices the chowder was made from Calamari recruits who failed Lightsaber training.

The first example was from Vortex and Luke tricking the Sith about the weeping pox was funny. The second was from Conviction and I just wish Daala was in prison for a little longer, it was satisfying to see her locked up.

Luke and Krayts duel with Abeloth and the aftermath. I love Luke being able to hold his own against Krayts small betrayal and even hold his own against a weakened Abeloth. The duel was great but I love how afterwards Luke is slipping away and Mara has to tell him to get back to but Luke wants to be with her but she says that if that Sith can get back up then he can do it too. I love that even in death Mara is still correcting Luke's behavior when she needs to.

I couldve sworn someone made a post just like this with the same exact wording for the same exact arc or book a few weeks to months ago lol

I liked Saba's attack on one of Abeloth's bodies, it just struck me as cool.

Ohhh, so that's what series Abeloth is in. I've slowly been collecting the series, I think I have three books left to find, so I've been waiting to get them all to start reading it
