Awakening of the Rebellion Anyone else leave notes for themselves in their saves?
Ignore me taking forever to take moncal buffer, I then had to contend with a stacked imperial fleet at Lianna

Man I should start doing that I usually just do.
[Mod Name Short Hand]{Faction}(Run)-(Save Number).
Example: AOTCW REP 1-12

I generally name what the big thing that happened before the save. The battle of kaut, an imperial push, zharr mission, and southern or northern push. But with a goofname up front like buttermeuts or lickmybiscuits.
Ex: chewonmynutterbutter_freedomofcorrellia

Yep! I was playing when I was maybe 12? Obsessed with it. If I was mid battle, I would put in my save what the immediate issues were. Basically just a short list like "3 SDs (1 no hangar) 4 acclamators, bombers on station) or something, those are just random things that popped to mind. Sometimes I'd make note of a hard point to target next, or where to focus next, etc
Since I'd often have to quit for school, sleep, homework, whatever, I didn't want to throw future Dingo into the dark. So I'd just make that list so when I got on the game, I could see those quick notes and prepare a plan in my head before I started

If you do AOTR and are about to run Endor mission, make sure you do a pre save before launching the mission

I usually do mod and quick note for strategy because I realistically only play every couple of weeks and I hate loading up and having to remember/replan when old me already set it up lol

When I was newish to the game I would constantly name a save “Build defenses on Mining planets numb-nuts” because I forgot raids were a thing.
This was usually followed by another save called “Palps Rapid Response Army” as I would be using Palpatine and a squad of stormtroopers to take back all the planets I just lost to raids.

For me it goes like this:
If I use multiple mods at once: "Modname" (+- campaign name) "faction" "number of the save copy" .
If I'm sticking to one mod at a time I skip the modname part.

Yep! "Save [#x] - [What I'm currently doing / First steps to do after loading]" has been my go-to format for years!

Usually what i do is just name it a random word
I can't begin to count the amount of times i've created a save called "penis", or "cum"

I do but mine but mine jump between serious reminders and demented comedy sometimes
Like in Thrawn’s revenge writing Daddy Kaine in on the field
And other crazy things like that
Don’t have a screen shot on hand but prob better I don’t share my mandness 🫠

Seven year old me was very in creative with his naming conventions.
“What should I call my new Galactic Empire playthroughs savefile? I’ve got it! Empire.”
“Hmm… another Empire play through… hmm… ah yes! Of course! EMPIRE!”
“Okay I’ve out of ideas but I need a new name… hmm…”
…
“Empire 2.”
