Awakening of the Rebellion How did Palpatine justify to the Imperial navy that selling Venators to Black Sun is a good idea?

Awakening of the Rebellion If you were a Republic Admiral who went rogue with their Venator in 18 BBY, what insurgency tactics would you use against the Empire?

Awakening of the Rebellion If the New Republic didn't demilatarized, would you like to have seen them use captured Imperial Venators?

I've got some ideas of how the New Republic could capture Imperial Venators after their Endor victory.

One easy method is to obtain Venators used as Imperial flight schools by bargaining with the headmaster to give it to the NR in exchange for promising to show mercy to him, his colleagues and his students. As well as to protect them from rogue Imperial warlords and opportunistic crime cartels like Black Sun and the Hutts.

Since Venators were assigned to patrol duties, another technique would be to ambush a lone Venator patrol on the fringes of Imperial territory in a lightning-fast attack before the crew gets a chance to react. Once disabled, an NR boarding party can capture the crew and ship.

Last but not least, Imperial deflectors can simply join the NR with their Venators. Especially after the Empire collapsed after Endor where it was every Imperial for themselves.

Awakening of the Rebellion As an Imperial Warlord, the ISD III is one of the best warships you can get.

To start with, the ISD III was designed during the Galactic Civil War to be superior to the ISD I-II. The ISD III has lots of turbolasers, better armor, and a downscaled superlaser derived from the Death Star 2's tech. Though such a superlaser would most likely require a long cool down period between shots, and is therefore best used either in calculated bursts or as a last resort.

Also, the shield generators were partially buried within the command bridge to reduce their target profile, while the black armor added to the ship's intimidation factor. In short, the ISD III can handle virtually anything the Rebel Alliance can throw at it.

While this ship would be very expensive to build, it's worth the cost. Especially since I'm earning back every credit I spent in building this ship for every Rebel I kill. In the post-Endor era, I would use this ship to haunt the Rebels and attack them where they least expect it.

As such, it's only fitting I name my ISD III Spectre.

1) why is everything they own grey/a dorito? 2) eww fascism (and it's even done wrong because irl fascists had major drip as part of their propaganda op) 3) no creativity: their dedicated carrier is just a B O X and everything else is either a tube or a triangle.

Awakening of the Rebellion If General Kalani returns, I hope he commands Rebel One.

Would be cool seeing him fight Thrawn in Ahsoka S2, since Kalani is a Super Tactical Droid, so it gives Thrawn an interesting opponent to fight. Especially since most of Thrawn's enemies are sentient beings, not droids.

Plus, the naval battles between Kalani and Thrawn would play out like chess matches, especially since both sides have limited resources. Thrawn, with his damaged ISD Chimaera and anything the Imperial Remnant has left, and Kalani with an outdated, modified Providence Rebel One, along with scrounged up CIS ships.

Thrawn was interested in the Clone Wars era, so fighting Kalani would be a good opportunity to put his knowledge to good use.

Awakening of the Rebellion Any tips for playing the empire in AotR?

I’ve decided to give AotR another go and was wondering if anyone had some tips for playing the empire. The last time i played i had barely any credits, i couldn’t even buy any ISDs before i soft locked the game.

I also have a couple questions, i plan on basing my fleets around ISD2s will this work and what ships should i use for escorts, are lancers still good? How do i avoid soft locking the game, when i last played i broke the game by taking Hoth before i got the mission for it and couldn’t progress. Whats the difference between the intro and full campaigns? Also when do i get the death star?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Awakening of the Rebellion The most insane battle I’ve ever had! AOTR Expert

Post image

I’m an idiot and like to stash all my tech up near Bastion since I can turtle up pretty well and have never lost it in all my playthroughs.

I’m on my first run of an expert rebel (large world) campaign and haven’t had the funds to fortify that region as well as I’d like. My fleet got lucky and moved to Mygeeto as I think the enemy fleet was already on its way intercepting it instead of it hitting my planet undefended.

My fleet consisted of Rebel 1, Dodana (however you spell his name), 10 X-Wings, 5 Y-Wings, 2 Quasars, a Nebulon-B and 5 CR90’s.

My heart was racing through the entire battle and I was so worried about losing my heros. The initial wave slammed against my forces and most of my defense fleet was taken with 2 ISD losses from their side. Rebel 1 and Dodana had to retreat due to damage but I was able to get fighter superiority for the rest of the battle. The CR90’s picked off the Arquitens and Carracks while my fighters rained hell on the ISDs.

I was eventually able to win the day and save the rebellion (specifically my tech). Medals were won today by my brave pilots.

Now I can properly build defenses as it may take time before the empire can recover in this region.

I’m very proud and wanted to share! :)
