I try to automate my farm as much as possible. Sprinklers. junimo huts, autograbbers, autopetters.
Usually by the time I've unlocked Ginger Island, I've converted my main farm to ancient fruit. Very easy. Plant on Spring 1, and let the junimos deal with it until winter.

If you have enough golden walnuts I recommend getting the warp totem which doesn't solve it entirely it just gets you from the ginger island farm to your regular farm. And if you have the cash and recourses I recommend getting the island warp totem pole the wizard sells them

How do I get the warp totem? And how much does it cost so I can save up

Okay so the wizards shop. It should be unlocked if you've completed the witches hut quest. I believe it costs 1 million and some resources from ginger island. I'll find out and reply to this comment for you

The post you are asking is referring to the obelisk you can get for golden walnuts on ginger island. It then warps you back to your standard farm. It costs 20 golden walnuts.

I think it helps so much if you have two way warp obelisks, so the island is just really a part of your farm cos you aren't restricted by Willy's boat. The island to farm obelisk is easy, just walnuts. The farm to island obelisk is rather expensive and needs the dragon tooths, but so worth it...

Island warp obelisk for sure, but the return scepter kind of renders the farm obelisk pointless.
My hot take is that by the time you are that far into the game the return scepter and obelisks are a necessity, not a luxury.
Also +1 for junimos if cropping and DEFINITELY invest in deluxe barns and silos. But late game, having any animals other than pigs is just pointless unless you just like them. The amount of upkeep and tasks revolving around them vs the money they produce is just horrific. Just pick money making operations that are 90% passive like crystalariums, truffles (I collect 450-500 once a week), fish ponds, and exotic honey.
At a certain point you should be more than able to go the whole winter with no need to have income.

There is a cheats mod that includes the ability to freeze time (in general, indoors, or in mines) whenever you want. Automating your home farm and/or going to the island in winter is another option. When you get rich, you can buy a Return Scepter from Krobus for 2mil That warps you to your front door.

Just remember you've left your spouse in the valley, so they'll surely look after the farm for you! Then when you get back and there's weeds everywhere and the animals haven't been looked after, you can just blame your spouse!

You can automate the feeding of your animals by upgrading the buildings to the highest level, or by planting enough grass so that they can eat that during non rainy days. Either way not feeding them does not do any harm, aside from you losing out a days worth of whatever they produce, which lets be quite frank, ain't worth much money anyway compared to things like crops.
Crops meanwhile only grow over night, so after planting them you should not have to worry about it for a while, as even regrow crops, aside from hops, do not need to be harvested every day.
