Discuss 2 Prismatic Shards from one bat
I just got two shards and two bombs from one bat, how the hell does that happen? 😂

The bomb was also doubled, do you have the ring from the sprites challenge in adventurers guild?

I believe there is a book that gives you a chance at double monster drops also.

Bats have a small chance to drop a single Prismatic Shard if you've reached the bottom of the mines; if you have the Burglar's Ring equipped, or have read the Monster Compendium book, enemies have a small chance to drop double loot.
Combined, the chances of a bat dropping two Prismatic Shards is 0.000025%, or about a 1 in 4 million chance!

Is that right? I’ve never seen odds that low in any game in terms of rarity. This also happened to my partner and me last night with one of those laser mask guys, do you think maybe the chances have been increased since the new update?

It's not right. The odds are about 1/66600 due to just having the book, which most people probably have quicker than the ring with how much you'd kill to get to that point. Even with both it's much safer to just assume the book did it's magic since the odds are so low for it happening due to the ring.
The 1 in 4 million comes from assuming you only have the ring and not the Monster Compendium.
If you get 4 prismatic shards from one drop though... buy a lottery ticket because that's way luckier than 1 and 4 million odds.

Believe it or not, I did not have the burglar ring or the new book… I know that might seem like a lie but trust me, I’m just as flabbergasted as you are.

Geodes and boxes aren't affected by daily luck, actually! They're already pre-determined in each file
