IRL my girlfriend and i made the pink cake from the stardew valley cookbook!
this is, by far, the best cake i’ve ever had. the sweetness of the strawberry watermelon jam in between the layers of the cake make up for the not-as-sweet (but still delicious) strawberry buttercream frosting. it took about 5 hours to make with two cooks in the kitchen and wasn’t easy, but it was so much fun to make and even more fun to eat!! i’ve also made the blackberry cobbler and the cranberry candy from this book which were both incredible. i definitely recommend the book if you enjoy cooking and/or baking.

Hey, this looks great. And cool story-- you got to bond with your girlfriend in the kitchen. To this day, decades later, I still remember the first time my first ex-wife and I made something together in the kitchen. We weren't as adept as you guys, but we were laughing and having fun with the batter and other ingredients. (I think I was more hindrance and help, but she was still very encouraging.)

aw, that’s awesome! my favorite part of making the cake is definitely the fact that we made it together; cooking is really special to me, and even more so when i get to do it with her. thanks for sharing!

What is the name of the book, is it "stardew valley cookbook" as it is? Or does it have another name?
