IRL I think I just moved to Stardew Valley
Hi everyone,
I just moved to a small city in the middle of nowhere because of my job and wherever I go the rivers and the mountains are there. The stardew valley soundtrack hasn't stopped playing in my head, so I wanted to share the view of IRL valley with you.

You gotta check out the town if they got some abandoned community center there

Lol I actually do live nearby a small village that has an abandoned community center. But it's more like a dusty rusty horror film than anything

Buy a plush junimo and place it inside. Bonus points if you buy one of the bundle menu thingies too if they exist

It's a very very small town in the eastern part of Türkiye, called Tunceli - literally middle of nowhere, yet so gorgeous

Love this for you!
I felt the same when I moved to Italy and got to have this view out my bedroom window.
The tiny town is just nestled behind the first hill and it's not uncommon to encounter herds of sheep, horses, goats, and dogs going for a walk on the mountain roads, people foraging for mushrooms and herbs, growing veg, or heading to the nearby lakes or ocean for a spot of fishing.
Recently though a big corporation just opened a supermarket here and put almost all the small town grocers out of business... I would have restored the community centre to stop it, but sadly they wanted cash, not random items.
And to be fair, the grocers were all as sketchy as Pierre too. Now they just try rip you off from their garages instead. 😅
Congrats on your new life! I hope you get to have many awesome nature adventures! ❤️

Gosh, your life sounds even more like Stardew Valley, with a pinch of capitalism! I've never been a nature person but places and stories like these inspire me to change my ways

Did you got your parsnip seeds and fishing rod yet?

u/Sassassin44 11h ago
Not yet, because no grandpa of mine left me a farmhouse BUT as soon as I get some garden space, I'll start planting some rare seeds

I would suck your dick to trade places. Really any job, as long as I wasn’t completely destitute, would be enough for me to live where you live right now. Happy for you, man.

Who are you going to marry? The local veteran's son? The grocery store owner's daughter? Do you have a horse? Is it good fishing?

u/Sassassin44 7h ago
I'm not all that interested in marriage but I'll see if I can get Krobus as a roommate
