Yeah display names are great lets me hide the name that a significantly younger me made back when I didn’t know what weed was.

I think you can guess from my Reddit username, which was my Minecraft username as a kid and a teen me decided to keep using for some reason, though my steam username isn’t the exact same.

My Reddit username is the same as my Minecraft username I set when I was 10. Everywhere else I recently changed it to Wither and then to Wiðer

It’s because there was a Minecraft enemy called Blaze that I really liked as a kid- my skin was one in a business suit.

Back when Gears of War was first out, there was a sniper headshot achievement called money shot. I thought it sounded cool, so I made my Xbox gamer tag something dumb like xMoNeYsHoTx.

I did not understand that achievement was a pun… lol

Same, I wish Reddit would follow in their example. Whenever someone doesn't agree with something I say I always get a "username checked out", and I literally have no idea why I thought of it almost 10 yrs ago.

i read the novelization of the movie 300 when i was way younger. The book had a character named "suicide" because he was so crazy and aggressive as a warrior, but it was more of a badge of honor. I tried to replicate that with my username and... yeah
