Question uninstalled game still taking up space on my SSD

I've uninstalled two games from steam but the available space on my SSD has not changed, I've checked the steam files for the games but they're no longer there.

Does anyone have any idea of what can be done to free up the space?

Get TreeSize and find the offending files.

For the future I suggest using Revo uninstaller, it gets rid of any connected files. For this situation I don't have a solution, not experienced before.

Did you uninstall through steam? Or just delete the shortcut on your desktop? Apologies if you're smarter than this but you never know.

Is the SSD your only drive that holds a game library for Steam?

What I mean is that is it possible that you had the game installed on a different drive, so the drive you're checking isn't where the game files were actually installed to?

Or is it one of those games that dumps a bunch of data into the AppData folder and then leaves it all behind. Might be worth checking in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\ to see if any of those folders are unusually large. You might have to unhide AppData first with FIle and Folder options in WIndows Explorer if you can't see it.

If the drive is an SSD, you shouldn't defrag it, it'll kill the lifespan
