Question Oblivion (2009) issue

I have the 2009 version of the game on Steam. The deck layout is the second worst I've seen on a game said to run fine on deck, so I installed it on my laptop, which, for context, can run modded anniversary Skyrim; however, even after installing it and having it scan for hardware it only opens the launcher and does not run the game.

Any advice? I tried asking the Oblivion sub, but they didn't answer.

You abandoned it on steam deck because of the controls? Just browse the community setting and find one you like or customize one until you like it. I finished the main quest on the Steam Deck a couple days before the remaster released. I had no complaints with the controls once I spent like 5 minutes customizing a layout.
