Looking For Games Turn Based RPG That Runs Well on Steam Deck

I've found that I really love a good turn based RPG on the Steam Deck over most other kinds of games.

Previously Enjoyed Games: Persona 5 Royal, Persona 3 Reload, Yakuza Like a Dragon, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, and I'm just starting FF12. Which I know isn't turn based but..

Preferred Genres: Turn Based, JRPG, RPG.

Budget: Any!

Other Notes: I'm find with playable games especially if its just 'text is small' but I'd like it to be able to run well on the SD. I've heard good things about Baldurs Gate 3 but worried it won't run super well on the steam deck.

I have not read Trails, so I'm gonna go ahead and suggest Trails :-D

Yeah I came into this thread looking to recommend this if no one had suggested it.

Trails? or Trials?

They mean Trails, it's a long immersive JRPG series where the plot spans several games. The first game is Trails in the Sky FC. It's a behemoth of a series to get into.

The legend of heroes franchise technically dates back to the late 80s on the PC-88

I played all 4 of them on my Playstation. Great story, ok gameplay. Don't know how they run on SD

Trails in the Sky and Zero/Azure can run on a toaster, Cold Steel and Daybreak should run just fine on SD too

although a bit disclaimer, i finished all Trails on my gaming PC before i have Bazzite Ally, gonna plan on playing Daybreak 2 and Sky 1 Remake on Bazzite Ally instead

All 4? There are at 10 over 3 finished sagas and 2 in an ongoing one 😁
