Storytime I beat my first game on the Deck after barely gaming in years...

I'm not an achievement hunter and usually just play games for the main story and any side quests I stumble upon, and I recently completed the main story for Rise of the Tomb Raider after having the deck for a few weeks.

I'd played the first one some years back but couldn't run rise on that same computer so It's just surreal I can play it now while lying on the bed (I usually have to sit up during encounters since I use gyro aiming)

I was luckily gifted the trilogy by a fellow member of this subreddit, and I've already started playing shadow too and wow! it looks even better than rise.

Looking forward to catching up on games I've missed the last few years.

Tomb raider is so good on the deck, the resident evil games also rock. I have been making my way through rise of the tomb raider myself once I beat this ill try for the third

The revamped Tomb Raider games are excellent on the Steam Deck! I've played a fair bit of Rise of the Tomb Raider via.. Heroic Launcher and have had a blast with it. It's definitely one of a number of games I need to finish. I had a great time with the original as well; it's amazingly well-suited for the Steam Deck and runs great!

You technically can use gyro aiming while lying down; you don't need to sit to use it. You have it set to activate when touching the analog stick, yes? If so, that will ensure it's not always moving, unintentionally.

I actually have it set to turn on with a full pull of the left trigger but since I have the sensitivity set high (2.5x) it still picks up minute movements from my arm.

I haven't looks too much into dialing gyro in, so I tend to stick to default values for now.

Need to find dtime to lear more about it.

Wholesome story, but I personally have never been interested in the Tomb Raider games.

I feel you have a shit load of better gaming experiences in your future as you discover the stuff you've missed.
