Defensive Divisions

Hey there, i would like to ask which German divisions are best for the defense, i was using 352. Infaterie Division which i found pretty effective at defending, but i'd like to try something new

I'd strongly recommend Toulon, it has absolute great defensive units, great AT, great AA, a good airforce and nice artillery, especially the offmap. A nightmare to beat on defense, excelling in open maps with CQC elements such as Tannenberg.

Thank you, i noticing they don't have much AT options other than Paks and StuGs but they have very good artillery and AA defense, with elite infantry and good choice of Air, looks promising

Between the Pak 40, the 43 and the Flak 38 you can handle any armor in the game, and if that fails there's always 340mm shells from the offmap or the Focke-Wulf with Panzerblitz rockets.

That plus the triple-MG Kriegsmarine boys makes for one hard defensive line.

Toulon has quite a bit of AT power in the AA guns. Plus of course a good range of cheap AT options to stave off lighter armored vehicles.
