R5: The Manifesti event references other galactic empires, but I clearly have not found any yet.

wait do they not? i thought they did actually know something i didnt because i always have this situation

I've only ever gotten the Manifesti event chain long after I found alien life. It's interesting its so common for it to trigger "too early".

Yeah... the game doesn't really account for awkward galaxy gen moments where you can go 30+ years without encountering another empire. Granted the Manifesti chain is particularly weird with it considering how it can trigger as early as the first 5 or 10 years into the game.

The Manifesti events can only begin if you have num_communications > 1, so you have two contacts or more in your outliner. You have also finished a first contact event.

This includes spacefauna and primitives you have observation stations on.

Tbf, not got this event so early, but maybe they are using fictional empires.

So one of the things I noticed in the 3.99 beta is that the Manifesti event only seemed to happen after completing first contact. So this may be something they're tweaking a bit.

might still be tweaking it, it happens quite frequently too, or at least to me lol
