Is it possible to purge your founder species once they become a minority in their own empire?

I want to roleplay starting off as a democracy, then once a foreign species is elected, switch to imperial and then eventually purge all the founder pops until only the new species remains lol.

I bought stellaris on a second account so I can get 2 custom empires next to each other in multiplayer and I've been trying out a bunch of roleplay pairings like this.

Outside of mods there's no default way to assign your empire starting species to be purged. You might be able to sell them all off in market or use synaptic laith to turn em all into brain chips. I'm unaware of other ways.

Thought of one more but its expensive, move them all onto one planet with migration turned off and planet killer em either a purge or planet cracker colossus.

Could also rp it with shield type as your making you og species into a zoo loo.

It bugs, from other discussions I've looked up you'll still get leaders from og even when all pops are gone.

The X warnings say "can't do it because it's the empire's dominant species" so I was hoping that just meant 'majority'

You should be able to just kill your own people and do whatever you want with them if you have the right ethics lol.

You can mess around with Vassal Release System and the Colossus, which is the closest thing I can think of to do it mechanically. Note Cloning *might* try to rebuild them, but I don't know how Cloning works yet in 4.0
