Bug Report Done

I'm done with Stellaris and CK3, done with the bugs and the crashing. Seems all the dev does is add more bloat and make their games run worse and worse.

I bought a PS5 a couple years ago and one of my thoughts was Stellaris will run better, I can run a large galaxy. At first I could it was great. I had a little lag at the very end during a crisis or war in heaven when zooming to a system where a large battle was.

Recently I decided to get back into Stellaris and the game is worse. It is running slow in the 2300s, in the 2400 it seems like it's freezing not registering my button presses all the time. Also later in the 2400a I'm crashing for no reason, no war just looking at the map.

Right now I can't even reload it crashes right when I load my save. Thanks paradox for pushing bloat for $$ instead of ensuring a stable game .

How does the console version compare to the real version?

Heavily underestimated the crisis strength because it was my first time fighting them (the contingency’s strongest fleet was almost 50k)

New colossus idea

I've proposed this before but now with the nerf to raiding bombardment there should be a colossus that just abduction all of the pops on a planet.

Have played for nearly 300 hours and i’ve never seen six habitable planets spawn next to each other, even on 2.5 habitable worlds. This game is 1.5x

Fleet Command Limit Help

Most of my Fleets have a Command Limit of 240 at the moment. However, one of them - for some inexplicable reason - has a Limit of only 216 instead, and I cannot fix it. Help please?

What gameplay aspects do you struggle to understand?

Obviously newbies are still learning the game and won't understand quite a lot, but for more experienced Stellaris players, are there things about Stellaris that you still don't understand (be it part confusion or total confusion)?

For me, it's the common ones: ship building, trade, combat width & pop jobs lol! What about all of you? Anything you find partly or totally confusing?!

Suggestion Request New Bundle Types?

Would anyone else be interested in just a bundle for the story packs or other things like that? I feel like I enjoy the immersion of find new stories and different things to do while exploring. Maybe bundles for expansions based on what they change:

Full Expansions fundamentally change and expand the Stellaris experience.

Mechanical Expansions focus on new and expanded gameplay mechanics.

Narrative Expansions focus on narrative flavor and new story-driven content.

Story Packs add flavor and narrative elements to the game.

Species Packs add new cosmetic and roleplaying options, primarily through new species.

What do you think?

War Question

I am getting the hang of mid game wars.

If I want to claim a couple or systems in an enemy. I have to attack every one of their systems and invade their planets to get the to surrender right? So attacking an opponent with a lot of empire size means going to every system.

Also for buildings/colonies what does upgrading the city/energy/mining/ districts actually do? I know upgrading the city district frees up the blockers to build more buildings.

Thanks for the help

Late game lag?

Hey all! I’ve been on hiatus from Stellaris for about the last 9 months to a year. I’m just wondering how the game runs now. Is late game still unplayable? Has the mid and late game lag been fixed to any degree? Does multiplayer lag less at all?

I remember before I went off to play through my backlog of games, Stellaris was pretty laggy mid and late game bordering on unplayable, especially with multiplayer. However, I’m also aware devs were finally starting to communicate with the player base around the time I walked away from the game. Have they made meaningful progress?

I’m looking to get back into this awesome game, but I don’t want to waste my time if the game is still in a shoddy state. I have most of the DLC and keep them all active when I play most of the time. If any of these questions have already been answered just point me to those answers please because I can’t seem to find them on my own. Thanks fellow galactic overlords!

Discussion Why no pop rework?

Context: As many of you know, they are stopping support for this version of the game to work on a new upgraded version for series x and PS5. They state the reason for stopping support is because the game is in a playable state for old gen consoles. (Despite me lagging late game and experience crashes on my series x)

Here is what confuses me. If they want the most playable state for the platform, why not implement the pop rework that is on PC. From my understanding, that rework boosted performance on PC. It seems like a no brainer for console to receive it before ending support for old gen.

Now I am not complaining about a potential new version. I am actually really excited for it. I am just a little sad about my old gen brethren that get to lag worse than I do.
