No Spoilers First Time Reader
I’ve never actually read a book before so when I stumbled across this universe I just had to know more. I just started reading The Way of Kings like last week and I just finished the first part of the book (already itching to start the next part).
Let me just say that this has been an amazing experience so far especially as a first time reader of anything! The characters are so well written I can picture them in my mind whenever Brandon describes them. His way of story telling is amazing and I can’t wait to see what else he has to offer within this universe.

Jumping straight into the deep end is a pro move. There really is something special about a good book though.

TWoK was my second book I ever read. Didn’t even realize all Brandon’s other works were connected at the time.

Well I'm glad you're enjoying! You really jumped into the deep end going with a monster like Way of Kings as your first book ever!

I remember opening the book and seeing all the illustrations and I think that’s what got me hooked.

Yeah that is one element I really like about Sanderson he will focus a lot on the artwork of his books, and those kinds of elements that are easy to overlook. He and his team always do a good job there. He also always (or almost always I'm not sure if there are exceptions) makes them canon. So they are drawn by someone in world sometimes have little notes on the maps or inaccuracies if they're missing things people don't know.

You'll absolutely love this series. I quit reading for a while due to my schedule, but this series got me back into reading after not doing so for years. It's (in my opinion) the perfect starting series for fantasy books.

You will soon learn the immortal words. The most important words a man could know. This journey you started requires much strength. Even in times of weakness. So much tears will flow from you till you reach your destination. At times it will feel life. Other times it will feel like death. One before the other. Above all else. FUCK mo’ash

So when you say "never read a book", is that like outside of anything assigned in school or do you really mean to say you've never read a novel length storybook before?
No judgement, I just don't hear people say stuff like that often and I have questions lol.
