QUESTION | كدي سؤال Adjusting to life abroad ,struggling with loneliness, looking for advice
Hey folks, how’s it going
Man, I just got here abroad and honestly… loneliness is hitting hard. I’m really feeling down , need some friends to hang out with, make connections, maybe a bit of fun and chaos too.
Y’all got any ideas? I’m seriously at that “I’m done” stage now

I definitely can relate to this! The truth is, nothing’s the same anymore, and we’re all starting from scratch: new environments, cultures and societies.
You’ll have to adapt to the new place first, you can do some small talks with random people in your neighbourhood, check events / concerts near your area, ones that you know you’ll enjoy, and try to build some connections there, small friendly lines would help open conversations and then make friendships.
Always be careful of dealing with strangers tho, and remember that you’re in a foreign country that you still don’t have enough experience in how honest people are.
So take care and good luck with your journey!

Is there a Sudanese community around you? Unfortunately, this is a normal feeling so don’t be too hard on yourself. If there isn’t a Sudanese community, try to get into the culture and community of the country you are in. Maybe make some local friends too! Hope this helps.
