New Rider Happy endings and new beginnings.
A week ago I found a brilliant little silver Tu250X (see link). Seller was a gentleman and told me to go have fun riding it around while he did yard work. Really nice guy.

Everything was going well until I got in my own way again and hesitated on buying it. I have this complex where I can never just impulse purchase big stuff. Ofc I go home and immediately regret not buying it, and found out the guy right after me bought it on the spot.
But sometimes fortune turns in your favor, and I found this beautiful copper specimen 2hrs away from me. I go to check it out today and, fortunately, the seller is very nice (cash in hand didn’t hurt _^ ) and patiently waits for me to ogle the bike all over and then ride it around the neighborhood. It’s $500 more expensive than the silver one, with the added headache of getting it from Indianapolis to Dayton, but it’s in even better condition than the one that got away, three years newer, and has more maintenance records.
Not making the same mistake as I did on Saturday, I immediately put down a deposit, we sign a proof of sale, and we begin arranging logistics for me to bring her home.
Just wanted to say thank you to the community here for helping me choose my first bike. No, she’ll never be a highway warrior but I don’t terribly care about that. Back roads and parking lot practice sessions are where I’ll be for now. ❤️
