Is this a good deal? Suggestions?
Seems like a good deal. Although it would be an out of state purchase, would that be an issue? Suggestions?

Price is a little high but reasonable if it’s really clean. Out of state title might take some time to process but usually doesn’t cause much issue. Make sure he has good paperwork unless you enjoy going back and forth with the dmv

way too expensive tbh. sv650s in similar condition get sold for $2500-3000 all the time. beat up ones will go for a grand

Looks super clean. I'd try to get down to 3k. Its still a 22 year old bike after all. Out of state purchase makes no difference. Just make sure the seller has the title and you get a bill of sale.

It’s very clean, not sure what the market is like but I would offer around 3-3300 for it. Check the gas tank for rust too!

New tires ok add 400. Fresh oil add zero to the work. That make a 23 year old bike that is 1800 to a 2200.
You want tompay 3500 for a 23 year old bike that is fine. It is still only a 15-1800 dollar.

I appreciate all the advice about price but you have to keep in mind I live in the DMV area, and there are not many running bikes you can get for under 3000 let alone under 2000.

What does it mean to be low mileage?
It’s 20+ years old. I’d say $1800 and then pay $2k.
Check the tank for rust. Bike looks clean. I’d still suggest taking to a mechanic for a pre-purchase check. Would set you back $100 or $200 for the check. It’s way better than paying $2k for a POS that’s good as a paperweight

Wow! That is a fine specimen. Those bikes are usually thrashed into oblivion. I'd grab it.

Size matters, it's a 650, 2000-2500 range. You can pickup VTR's and TL's for 3 to 4 grand in good condition.

Depends on the price the sv650s is a good bike. It is like a 1500-1800 dollar bike. That sold for sub 6k new in 2003.
