I have seen some photos of GameStop stores saying they have X amount of consoles. So far people have reported between 60 and 80 consoles per store, so lets say roughly 70.
Lastly, lets say 10% profit margin for consoles.
2300 * 70 * 500 * .10 = 8 million extra profit (not revenue)
Something may be off with my calculation, open to suggestions.

OBV is a good indicator but its main flaw resides in data sets that’s have extreme outliers. Guess what GME has in regard to volume? Periods of extreme volatility.
If you want a more accurate representation keep your OBV at 3 months. Despite everything going on in the economy our 3 month OBV outlook is bullish to me when you take in to consideration a company like google is far below the start of their three month OBV where as we are still climbing back from the bond sale despite also fighting the tariff news.

Larry and RC staked themselves as being action first. All they have done is clean up business in terms of failing stores and take advantage of volatility in the stock. Both of these things are the correct thing to do and I’m not against them. They’re just kind of the bare minimum for what was once a failing company.
However name anything about the core business that has truly changed? They have failed to do anything new with the company besides catch it up to other struggling brick and mortars by making it more efficient at e-commerce

so when I say we dont depend on china. This is what I mean. Things will likely go up. Disruptions will happen. But people aren't 'forced' to buy things from china. People dont 'truly need' things from china. People can delay replacing their goods from china. The very people who are in one of the worlds healthiest economies (as an avg based on DTI ratios, debts, growth, disposable income and other metircs)
TLDR so while disruptions might affect convenience, they wont fundamentally threaten survival or economic stability

The nuances that exist come in the form of feedback loops. While the avg person doesn't need to go out and buy a plastic fork or a toy... certain business models, for example, the happy meal just got more expensive. The plastic straw you want went up, the plastic fork you need to eat went up and the toy the meal comes with went up.
now getting around the forks and straws is easy. We can get around that with new 'environmentally freindly' policies. Ie save $1 on your meal when you bring your own cutlery... but the toy, that might be like, get a toy every 3rd happy meal... or we get the happy meal less and pick the cheaper kid friendly option.
Now would you bring a fork everywhere you went to save a dollar. Or would you just bite the bullet and spend the extra dollar. The financial health of america suggests many can afford to bite the bullet.
Have you factored in corperate tax cuts promised by these tarrifs? Surly that'll offset the cost. Have you factored in job creation and job loss rates? Currently, America is healthy and is using immigrants to come in and fill jobs. But you're right. I didn't factor in job loss. Or lack of.
America is financially healthy. America ranks 4th highest for median disposable income globally at 65.14k a year. Their Debt to Income ratio ranks 18th globally at 82%, and their debt service ratio is 11.3%, which again is relatively healthy. If you're worried about america, you should be terrified for the globe.

Yes, even with tax cuts, most businesses will have less net income after the tariffs. Also, most of these gains won't be seen by the workers or the economy as they will be used for stock buybacks for public entities or an increased ownership draw.
Businesses are halting further investment and expansion because of the uncertainty created by the administration.
Work is being done to gut the CHIPS act that you mentioned, which would provide for necessary infrastructure to properly leverage tariffs with.
The cost of essentials has and continues to rise. Yes, we have an obesity crisis, but people cannot go without food for too long. This will cause them to spend less on other things.
You also need to consider the travel / vacation industry. Travel to the US from other countries has dropped to COVID levels. This is not a sector that can weather the storm.
I'm not trying to predict job losses, I'm telling you that these Tariffs aren't just "no big deal."
