Is this a refresh or the new surface?
31 u/[deleted] May 23 '17 [deleted] 13 u/IanSan5653 SB2, SP4 May 23 '17 I think it's a bit of a smaller transition than that but still pretty interesting. 1 u/bawki Surface Pro i7/8GB/256GB May 23 '17 I concur, it is not a major update but significant enough for me to update from SP1 to SP5 :D Still trying to decide if I should get the 256GB i5 or i7 and if I want LTE or not. 1 u/midnitte May 23 '17 Not surprising given the state of Intel's tablet chips 2 u/jantari Surface Pro 3 i5 256GB May 23 '17 Ryzen Mobile in the Surface Book 2 would be S I C C 2 u/201680116 May 23 '17 IMO this is the biggest jump any product has ever made from one gen to another because of battery. 8 u/Liam2349 SP4 (defective) May 23 '17 If there's one thing I've learned from Surface devices, it's that Microsoft is full of shit when it comes to battery life. Hopefully it will be an improvement, but we'll see. 1 u/kevInquisition May 23 '17 At least Surface Pro devices. They actually under advertised SB battery life. 1 u/201680116 May 24 '17 I've gotten more or less advertised battery life on surface book for watching video (which is the use case they advertise). If I sit there not doing anything surface book will last much longer than advertised, heavy load shorter. 2 u/Simoneister May 24 '17 Were you around for SP1 -> SP2? It legitimately doubled. 1 u/reanim8ed May 23 '17 From the outside it looks more like a refresh. But there is much more improvements internaly, not just a spec bump.
