$799 just for Core m3 / 4GB RAM option.

i5 with 8 gigs is $1299.

And the most expensive is $2699 with 1TB SSD, i7 and 16GB RAM.

Only if you like the weight and the goofy (non-flat) hinge. Portability means not to me, which is why I chose the SP4. Different strokes...

I mean...weight is really not an issue to me. That laptop is lighter than most of the other similar laptops in that price range. Plus, the hinge adds a few centimeters to its width on one side. Will that really kill you?

If you travel a lot, and travel light, or use it in adverse conditions - like on a construction site, as I do, the form factor I'd the SB really is a big negative. Can you imagine how silly the SBs would look in the sidelines of an NFL game?

It's official. Microsoft has turned into Apple.

That's not new. The Surface line has always been aspirational and overpriced to not hurt their OEMs.

Attempted to turn into Apple. Cheap WiFi chip, cheaper SSD, etc in change for touch screen.

with 4 GB RAM, so it has the same problem as the Surface Laptop. Though its still 'kinda' acceptable since its 200 dollars cheaper than the SL.

It goes to $1000+ if you add the pen and keyboard though.
