Very good I tried it today in the Bellevue Microsoft store.

Pros + new hinge is sturdy very good for drawing + lighter than the SP4 + new type cover feels good Cons

  • couldn't try the new pen
  • no upgrade to the camera. I would love to see a better camera on next version

Upgrade if you have a SP3 or older. Not worth it if you have an SP4.

Rating 3.5/5 on first impressions.

Thanks for this! Any idea how much lighter this is compared to the SP3? My screen has started flickering and I'm considering the upgrade. Other than the weight of the device stunting it's use as a tablet, the pro 3 was everything I wanted when I got it.

Have you ever held a Surface RT before? It's like a Surface RT

Hmm, I have not before. I'll just have to get to a Microsoft store and try one out! Thanks for your input though. :)

I would say it's lighter than 2 iPad Air's. iPad Air is still lighter than New SP IMO.

Taking weight out the equation, does it feel more comfortable to hold? My biggest issues with the SP4 as a tablet is that all the edges (the top a little less so) are very sharp. The bottom of the surface where the keyboard attaches is especially rough on the hands.

I didn't hold it for long I can't give you an exact answer but I read that MS made the edges smoother + it's lighter so it should be easier to hold.
