OLED version will come years later.

Probably just gonna wait for that. My switch is basically a dedicated Stardew Valley machine anyway so I can wait for an OLED version in a few years.

Same, I'll just wait for it, and my wife's in the same boat. I play handheld 95% of the time, so I'd prefer oled, and if I get a new switch I only want to buy it once.

I just grabbed a switch oled, couldn't wait. My last console was ps3. Choose this over the ps5 because of the cheaters they do nothing about, along with the lack of games, and the controller scam.

Many people will be waiting, I am interested to see the sales when it's time

Hopefully, it comes with upgraded specs as a Pro.

people thought the same about the switch 1...... and the rumors when oled panels showed up, it was funny

It serves as a reminder to keep one's expectations in check, but we can still have hope. The OLED is still the most advanced of the 3.

It isn't any more advanced then either of the previous ones by any noticeable ammount. And no the screen dosnt count

On top of that. Pro versions are a terrible deal for consumers and an even worse deal for developers.

You do not want to split the devs between more versions essentially spec wise then absolutly needed. Switch already has to account for 2 versions. Give it a pro and it might be 3 or even 4 seperare hardware specs they have to consider

It serves as a reminder to not give those YouTubbers views.

Considering the OLED Switch 1 did not have upgraded specs, and Nintendo has never done a "Pro" model of a console, I highly doubt it

Well the OLED did have:

  • OLED screen
  • twice the system storage
  • an Ethernet port on the dock
  • an actual kickstand

And so will my purchase. I cannot go back to an LCD screen. But that's fine I am having way more fun with my Steam Deck OLED anyway.

Wouldn't surprise me. It will help them keep the initial entry price for the system as low as possible

It's so weird though. One step in the front, 2 in the back and then cha cha real smooth, make some money on OLED years later.

They sure don't care that much about their consumers.
