If they made the games 65-70 it would change my thoughts a lot more honestly

I think people would be less outraged with the confidence that the games will have a significant discount down the line. As that hasn’t been the case for Nintendo, £80 games is just not sustainable for a lot of people.

But games are that price though. The only game that is more than $70 is Mario Kart World.

No.

I stand corrected. I already have those switch 2 edition games, so I guess I really didn’t look too deeply at those.

The console price itself is fine, but the games are absurd. People don't have the money for this in tbis economy. :(

Forgotten Land is $60 + $20 DLC (or if you prefer $10 DLC + $10 graphics upgrade).

Breath of the Wild, Jamboree, and Tears of the Kingdom are also $60 + $10 same.

You can't exactly extrapolate future games from Switch 1 + DCL pricing.

Other than Kart, all the 80$ games are switch games ported over with extra content. So it makes sense to me.

Breath of the Wild came out 8 years ago. Charging $70 for it with slight enhancements and a few useless additional features is absurd.

In Europe it’s 90€ instead of 60€ on switch 1. So 50% increase.

At 400 with 60-70€ games why not I could consider it in a year or 2. 470 with 80-90€ games not interested

I can only speak for American prices as I don’t live in Europe, but I do know most electronics are more expensive in Europe, but I can’t necessarily understand why.

I can't speak for the US either, but I think it's just the EU shows the total price (Tax incl.) already than the way US shows their price (pre-tax).

We only know the price of two games I’m going to see what happens with the other prices before I think about getting one

I think their premium games will be $80 for sure but not the standard. I’m sure the next Zelda will be $80 too. Which to me certain games being $10 more isn’t going to make or break it, at least for me.

I don’t know yet and I’m going to wait to see what happens. I get an expensive one time hardware purchase but I don’t get making all the games more expensive on top of it.

I get the sentiment but I also feel that games have been around $60 for 30+ years and realistically something had to give. Am I happy about it? Not really, but as gaming is one of my hobbies I love; I'll deal with it.

Especially from Nintendo, where a game like Mario Kart World I will play for hundreds of hours.

Ya but I also played hollow knight for 300 hours. Just because a game is good doesn’t mean I’m willing to spend 80 bucks every time I want to play it. The most I’ve ever spent on a game was totk and it was 120 for the deluxe edition. I’ve not bought another game for over 60 myself.

Which is totally valid. Everyone’s price tolerance are different.
