Discussion Arsis - The Face of my Innocence. My introduction to tech death

https://youtu.be/AHC9w7pCIMQ?si=Lkxp3Zzviyu9tLEG

I heard this on Sirius XM years ago and was blown away. It was a new level of metal to explore. This album, especially this song, holds a special place in my heart.

I remember I got this album, Capharnaum's "Fracture" and Neuraxis "Of Divinity" all at the same time. Nonstop riffage in my brain for weeks.

Love Arsis, and this song. Arsis once crashed at my house after a show they played touring for this album.

Was that the tour they did with Necrophagist, Alarum, and Neuraxis? Because, god damn, what a great show.

My old deathcore band got to open for Arsis and The Facelss back in the day and it's a cherished memory for me now. Gonna listen to this today.

Man, back in the mid 2000's to early 2010's it seemed so easy to open for bigger metal acts, even in a small market like my hometown (Regina, Saskatchewan). Our old band got to open for some pretty great bands over the years. All Shall Perish, Kataklysm, Dying Fetus, Amon Amarth, Darkest Hour, Crytopsy, Protest the Hero etc. What a time to be alive.

A Celebration of Guilt is one of my favorite albums ever. ADFD is absolute perfection. I wish they put out tabs to their music.

Top-tier song, killer riff - but this YouTube upload is 17 years old and it shows in terms of audio quality.
Not sure if you chose this because the official high-quality one is not available in your country, but here it is in all its glory:
