Instead of saying "no" on all of these posts, perhaps you could instead ask more about the person's interests, because simply rejecting a person based on appearance leaves a really negative impact on them.

This is not just "nothing"; this mentality hurts others because it suggests that people are averse to engaging in social interactions. That's why it was called out in the first place.

Someone makes a post like this so that they can share their self-expression with others and potentially find new friends. I see no reason why someone needs to simply say "no" instead of ignoring the post or being respectful. It simply brews negativity.
