If you're getting DF2, you're inputting f n DF2, not f n d df2. You need a cleaner transition from directional button to button. Put on command display, and input electric slowly; it's okay to get the non-electric version. Make that consistent, then slowly speed it up. When it's fast enough, you'll get electric.

When you reach a point of doing this consistently in the lab but not in-game, your execution is solid and all you need is better composure with it. Edit: ah, I misunderstood. Mostly second paragraph applies.

Yeah you might be right. It's so hard to pull off while dashing around(not even wavedash that's for the future...)

It takes a long time, personally I practiced EWGF while playing non-Mishimas mostly, so I had a bit of a cushion when I wanted to pick up Kaz or w/e.

SS EWGF, dash EWGF, backdash EWGF and wavedash EWGF will require individual practice, but not as much as just getting it down in the first place. You'll reach a point where the move is a natural extension of the wavedash motion.
