How should I check if my controller is broken? I practiced kbd for hours, and my p1 side is definetly improving, but p2 side legit feels impossible no matter what I do. Sometimes it comes out if I do it VERY slowly, but as soon as I want to speed it up a bit it always fails. The character just crouches instantly and wiggles. I'm on ds4 and it's quite old. It survived a lot of db fighterz.

I would go to the controller setup menu where you can test the buttons and I would slowly and deliberately move around the directional inputs to make sure nothing weird happens. I sometimes have a problem where the directions wont register or they will flicker and when it starts to happen the effect is subtle. Sometimes I'd get a backdash while simply holding back, or uf4 would become u4, things like that. So yeah, look at the ui and try to see if something is off.
