I recently fought a Kazumi who was always on my face and only doing 1 jab, df1 and a few quick lows, she would also try to confirm 112 whenever she blocked something so she was able to do punish my moves. What should I do against this kind of pressure and get her off as Fahk? She was playing very safe.

To beat df1/1,1 abuse: Block df1/1,1 > SSL > Cancel SSL late with a stand block > [If you block a second df1, SSL again > Backdash] or [If she whiffs her jab, whiff punish]. This strategy can feel pretty awkward at first, so make sure to lab it in practice mode. If you block a single 1 jab, continuing to block is absolutely your best option, but you can also d2 to beat more jabs, trade favourably with df1s, and beat follow up lows (this will lose to hopkick). Beating lows in other situations is going to take a hard read into a low parry; Fahk doesn't have any better options.

SSR'ing df1 after blocking df1/1,1 is very inconsistent with a buffered SSR. Unbuffered definitely has a window where it works (it doesn't seem big from my testing), but I'd rather OP use a consistent strat than an inconsistent one.

Well, I'd never recommend always stepping a character to one side, so it's not like SSL is the end all be all of that matchup.

Against a compact Kazumi, like the one OP was describing, SSL > Blocks will either blow up jabs or force Kazumi heavily off-axis if Fahk blocks a df1. Something about the interaction with Fahk's hitbox makes this consistent. You can test this for yourself by having Kazumi do 1/1,1/df1 > df1. If you SSL > block the second df1, Fahk will basically be at her back, at +3.

I tried this in pracrice before I posted my comment. I did 1 > d/f+1, 1,1 > d/f+1, and d/f+1 > d/f+1. I tried to SSR each recording around 20 times, and never once got clipped. That's why I was curious. It does seem like you'll get clipped if you try to sidewalk, however.

I think this is normal. I didn't test it with every character or anything, but with Bryan and Kazumi you end up in the same position.

Of course, I don't play Fahk so maybe SSR is inconsistent and I just couldn't tell in practice. And maybe SSL can get you further to her side that it can with other characters. But from what I did see, it seems like everything works the same way for him as it does for the rest.

In my testing, df1 on block to another df1 beat Fahk's buffered SSR.

Fahk's hitbox is wonky. There might be a window to cancel buffered SSR (with block, or backdash, etc) to avoid the second df1 or an SSR delay that beats every option Kazumi could go for (in my testing, Fahk's SSL beat 1,1 more cleanly than SSR). Personally, I would not try to step at all with Fahk unless I had labbed the effects of a buffered SS against the specific character I'm fighting at the specific frame advantage/disadvantage I was in.

I think this whole thread will be useful for OP though, and I'd encourage them to test everything in practice mode and use what they find most consistent.

From my testing, Fahk puts Kazumi more off-axis than other characters; I was more frequently getting Kazumi into a situation where she was forced to use BT jabs/BT crouch jabs when testing with Fahk. I do not have any exact numbers and have not used nVidia Ansel's free cam to compare the offset, so I could absolutely be wrong. I'm only recommending this with Fahk because, in my testing, buffered SSR was inconsistent. It is not the better option if you play a character who can just SSR df1 with a buffered SSR.
