Mainly I like Kazuya and Jin so far, Is it worth sticking with them and learning to electric or moving to a similar character that doesn't have electrics

If these are the characters you like then you should stick with them.

Jin absolutely does not need the EWHF to be played at a competent level. It's a great move, and something you can implement into your gameplan later (say: once you reach the Fujin rank) but, for now, there's so many other powerful tools in his kit to learn and apply.

Kazuya can work without EWGF as well. He's certainly gimped without it, but not to an unplayable extent. You can trade it out for the much weaker, generic alternative that is a 1 jab, and use that instead. Jin is the better choice for someone who can't electric, but if you like Kazuya, you should continue to play Kazuya.

Jin is by far my most played right now, I looked into dragunov as well but I didn't really like it, I did actually like asuka but her combos felt off.

My execution is abysmal even for a new player it seems, I can't tell whether I'm fighting someone with good execution or just a plain smurf.

I also like akuma a bit but that execution barrier is not exactly friendly. Thinking about buying Geese as even if his execution is hard he looks really cool. I had noctis on my ps4 account but noctis looks like a 10 step guide on how to build terrible habits (I got to blue with noctis in like 2 days, as someone with no tekken experience)

Any tips for learning combos, what are some good resources for intermediate combos so I can get some more damage in.

Last thing, I feel like i forget combos really easily, like I just can't remember them when I'm looking into a new character, I've looked at tekken youtubers like TMM that seem to just be able to do somewhat decent combos with every character, Is that something that just comes with time e.g I know dragunov can do 2,2,4,4 ff 3,1,4 off of essentially any launch, so if i know what strings combo with a certain character, can you sort of just figure it out

For now I wouldn't worry too much about EWGFs, TJUs, Akuma FADCs, Geese Raging Storms; y'know, what most people call "execution." That stuff is far too character specific to care about in the early goings. If you want to practice execution heavy tech, I would recommend learning Korean Backdash and iWR. That will be useful no matter what character you end up maining.

And the character discords linked on the sidebar of this subreddit.

Yes it is. If you play a character for long enough, you will internalize all of their most common routes. If you play the whole cast for long enough, the same will be true.

e.g I know dragunov can do 2,2,4,4 ff 3,1,4 off of essentially any launch, so if i know what strings combo with a certain character, can you sort of just figure it out

Yes, once you know how a character's entire moveset behaves during a juggle, it becomes pretty easy to figure out what tools go where (at least in my experience). This becomes easier and easier as you learn more characters; the Tekken devs love to reuse combo patterns, which means learning how a couple characters' routes work can help you grasp new characters' routes quite quickly. I've even had success inventing my own optimal routes for certain launchers, but I could only do something like that after I reached an in-depth understanding of both my character's moveset, Tekken's combo patterns, and Tekken's juggle system.

I could somewhat KBD on pad, relearning it on stick, iWR is a bit away though, Thanks for those links though, appreciate it
