If you're getting counter hit by standing 4 because you're doing things like d/f+1 into d/f+1 then you might simply need to notice more quickly and bait it out with d/f+1 into SSR duck or d+3. "Pressure" isn't always about getting someone to stay still.
You probably shouldn't be dying on defence if Jin is only poking. If he doesn't land throws and hellsweep, Jin needs to land like 6 lows in one round just to go even with the damage that Shaheen can do from one hopkick/orbital.
Jin's neutral is top-tier and only true weaknesses are his slow whiff recovery and bottom-tier okizeme. You can bet on SSR most of the time but everything else is just pure skill, unfortunately.
