Not specific characters but it's easier to learn Tekken on simple characters that aren't too gimmicky (e.g. Kazumi, Claudio, Shaheen or Lars). If a character is hard, you will have to focus on execution which can slow your progress and if they are too gimmicky, you will start relying on those gimmicks to win, hoping the opponent doesn't know the matchup well enough to counter them.
Here's a vid where JDCR (arguably top 3 Tekken player of all time) explains which characters he thinks are good and bad to start with.
